Some information on Massey Harris tractors. They were manufactured in Racine Wisconsin USA.

The model “Pace Maker”Came out around 1935-36Had a 4 cylinder I-head Massey Harris engine, 1200 rpm, 3 7/8 inch bore X 5 1/4 inch stroke.Magneto ignition- American Bosch U4 magnetoWith a Kingston carburetor.Front tyres 5.00 x 15 and rear tyres 10 x 36.Rated draw bar horse power was just over 16hpMax speed 3.67 mph.There was a diesel version.

Model “101”S was manufactured 1938-39It was fitted with a 6 cylinder L-head Chrysler T57-503 engine, 1500 and 1800 rpm, 3 1/8 inch bore X 4 3/8 inch strokeCoil ignition by Autolite.Available with steel or rubber tyres.Front 5.00 x 15 . rear 10 x 36Rated drawbar hp on rubber was 24 hp on steel 18 hp. There were other “101” models as …”101” R and “101” R junior that were in production up to around 1940.

Model “81” came out around 1940It was fitted with a 4 cylinder L-head Continental engine, 1500 and 1800 rpm, 3 inch bore X 4 3/8 inch stroke A Marvel-Schebler TSX-28 carburetor Coil ignition Auto-Lite electrical system Tyres 9-32 rear tires 4.00-15 front tires 16.41 drawbar horsepower . Just after WW2 came the model 44RT

Fitted with a 4 cylinder I-head engine, 1350 rpm, 3 7/8 inch bore X 5 1/2 inch stroke With Auto-Lite battery and ignition system And a Zenith 62AJ10 carburetor 12-38 ear tires 5.50-16 front tires max speed: 4.74 mph44 belt hp.The Massey Harris “55” was available from around 1947Fitted with 4 cylinder I-head engine, 1350 rpm, 4 1/2 inch bore X 6 inch stroke Auto-Lite battery and ignition system Zenith 62AJ10 carburetor14-34 rear tires 7.80-18 front tires max speed 4.97 mph41.1 drawbar horsepower.

Around the same time mid to late 1940`s there was a model called a “Pony”4 cylinder L-head engine, 1800 rpm, 2 3/8 inch bore X 3 1/2 inch stroke Auto-Lite battery and ignition system Marvel Schebler TSV24 carburetor8-24 ear tires 4.00-15 front tires max speed: 3.52 mph8.36 drawbar horsepower.

Model “22” RT came available around 1947.4 cylinder L-head Continental Red Seal engine, 1800 rpm, 3 3/16 inch bore X 4 3/8 inch stroke Auto-Lite battery and ignition system Marvel Schebler TSX34 carburet10-28 ear tires 4.00-15 front tires max speed: 4.4 mph17.95 drawbar horsepower.

Massey Harris “30” RT same period.4 cylinder L-head Continental Red Seal engine, 1800 rpm, 3 7/16 inch bore X 4 3/8 inch stroke Auto-Lite battery and ignition system . Marvel Schebler TSX308 carburetor10-38 rear tires 5.00-15 front tires max speed: 4.26 mph20.64 drawbar horsepower.

Massey Harris “44” standard was a diesel.4 cylinder I-head diesel engine, 1350 rpm, 3 7/8 inch bore X 5 1/2 inch stroke 12V Auto-Lite electrical system . Bosch fuel injection system max speed: 4.26 mph. 29.64 drawbar horsepower.

The “44K” was the petrol/kero version of above.4 cylinder I-head engine, 1350 rpm, 3 7/8 inch bore X 5 1/2 inch stroke 6V Auto-Lite electrical system .Zenith 62AJ10 carburetor max speed: 4.29 mph. 27.7 drawbar horsepower.

Model “55K” standard.4 cylinder I-head engine, 1350 rpm, 4 1/2 inch bore X 6 inch stroke 6V Auto-Lite electrical system . Zenith 62AJ10 carburetor max speed: 5.22 mph 37.25 drawbar horsepower

“55 diesel”this was available by the late 1940`s4 cylinder I-head diesel engine, 1350 rpm, 4 1/2 inch bore X 6 inch stroke, 382 cubic inches displacement 12V Auto-Lite electrical system .Bosch fuel injection system Max speed: 5.22 mph: 41.32 drawbar horsepower.

Model “33” RT was available at the beginning of the 1950`s.4 cylinder I-head engine, 1500 rpm, 3 5/8 inch bore X 4 7/8 inch stroke, 201 CID

12-38 rear tires . 5.50-16 front tires 4 cylinder I-head engine, 1500 rpm, 3 5/8 inch bore X 4 7/8 inch stroke, 201 CID max speed: 4.59 mph 28.02 drawbar horsepower.Model “44” special ST.4 cylinder I-head engine, 1350 rpm, 4 inch bore X 5 1/2 inch stroke, 277 CID 14-30 rear tires .7.50-16 front tires max speed: 4.41 mph34.71 drawbar horsepower.

Model “No 16” Pacer was available early 1950`sContinental 4 cylinder L-head engine, 1800 rpm, 2 7/8 inch bore X 3 1/2 inch stroke, 91 CID 14-30 rear tires .4-15 front tires max speed: 3.85 mp 13.03 drawbar horsepowerBy 1955 Massey Harris was Massey Ferguson.
